FAQs
Where will the 4 week sessions be held?
Our weekly groups are hosted at The Gasser Building in Napa at 433 Soscol Ave B160, Napa, CA 94559.
How many children are in each group?
Each group has a maximum of 6 children, supported by a 3:1 child-to-adult ratio to ensure individualized attention within the group setting. We will be publishing upcoming session dates and age group breakdowns soon — check back for updates!
What is the eligibility criteria to attend the sensorimotor social groups?
Our Sensorimotor Social Groups are open to children in TK (age 4) through 5th grade who would benefit from support in sensory regulation, social communication, flexible thinking, motor planning, and peer interaction. Children should be able to participate safely in a small-group setting with a 3:1 child-to-adult ratio and engage in structured, adult-led therapeutic activities.
To ensure the best fit and meaningful peer interactions, children are placed into groups based on age/grade and overall developmental skills (such as regulation needs, communication abilities, and cognitive readiness). Families will complete a brief intake form prior to enrollment so our OT and SLP team can ensure an appropriate group match.
What should my child bring to the group?
Children should come dressed comfortably for movement and play-based activities. All materials and supplies needed for the sessions will be provided, so there’s no need to bring anything extra. However, please feel free to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.
Are parents allowed to attend or observe the groups?
To support a focused, engaging environment where children can fully participate, parents do not attend or observe the Sensorimotor Social Groups directly. This allows kids to build confidence, regulation, and social skills within the peer setting.
What is the cost and how do I pay?
The fee for the 4-week session is $500, which covers one 60-minute group per week. Payment is due before the session begins. Payment is accepted via Zelle, cash, check, or credit card through SimplePractice (a processing fee applies for credit card payments). Please note that fees are non-refundable — cancellations and no-shows cannot be refunded regardless of circumstances.
